ARTIST BIO

Making floorcloths has given me a rewarding way to merge art and practicality. Floorcloths are made of heavy weight cotton canvas, acrylic paint, and polyurethane sealer. The first floorcloths made in colonial days were constructed from worn sails from ships. They are easy to clean and brighten up a room. However, don't feel compelled to keep your floorcloth on the floor—many people prefer to hang their floorcloth as a piece of wall art.

The designs I use for my floorcloths are inspired by the natural beauty of the Seacoast. I consider my painting style representational with a splash of abstract. Every piece that I paint is original, and I love coming up with new ideas for my floorcloth designs. Please visit my Instagram where I have my recent work and often include progress photos just for fun.
