PAMELAMAS ALPACA FARM/PINE COTTAGE HANDMADES

ARTIST BIO

My small herd of fiber alpacas has been a constant in my life for over 20 years and I contribute their fiber to New England Alpaca Fiber Pool (NEAFP). I sell socks and gloves made by NEAFP, together with socks from a commercial source.

The alpaca feed bags have such beautiful photos on them that I couldn’t throw them out, so I have upcycled them and made bags that can be used for groceries or projects of almost any kind. I’ve traded the alpaca feed bags with other farms for a variety of animal-themed bags. Although alpaca fiber is what got me started with weaving about 10 years ago, I have most recently kept busy making handwoven cotton dishtowels. There seems to be an endless combination of colors and weaving patterns that look great on dishtowels.
