ARTIST BIO
Local artisan Sally Nelson creates each of her handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces with passion, care, and exceptional craftsmanship. Offering bracelets, earrings, necklaces and barrettes, Sally’s designs can be simple or ornate, and appeal to a wide range of personal styles for both women and men.
For inspiration, Sally turns to nature when dreaming up new designs. On walks with her husband, children, and grandchildren, she is constantly taking pictures to reference back in her home-studio.
One recent piece, Daffodils, was created using a polymer clay blend of yellows, whites, and greens based on blooming spring flowers in Sally’s garden. Another collection, Around the River Bend, features swirling blues and grays that mimic flowing water. Polymer clay is also an excellent medium to recreate marble, granite, and stone patterns inspired by rock formations around New England.
Autumn is Sally’s favorite season and these deep foliage colors are often found in her work. As natural scenes change with time, light, and color, they provide fresh inspiration for the latest Final Accent designs.
